“政権交代によって危機に陥った国土交通省のダム官僚たちが煽っているデマを何の精査もせずに垂れ流しているテレビ番組を見ていると「思考停止社会」も極まっていると感じる。まず代表的なデマは「工事の7割はすんでいて、あと3割の予算を投入すればダムが出来る」というもの。これは4600億円の予算をすでに7割使用したということに過ぎなくて、工事の進捗率とは何の関係もない。嘘だと思ったら、国土交通省河川局に聞いてみるといい。ダムは当初、半額以下の予算で建設されるはずだった。しかし、総工事費を4600億円にひきあげても、この金額で完成すると断言している人は誰もいない。工事が6年後に終わるという説明にも無理があり、竣工がのびのびになれば、実際の総工事費はどこまでふくらむかわからない。”
